On May 15, Capell & Howard welcomed summer law clerk W. Jackson Britton of Montgomery to the firm’s Montgomery office. Every summer, the firm invites top performing law school students to clerk with the firm to provide the future attorneys with not only real-world experience but also mentoring to help them expand their legal knowledge and hone their legal skills.
Britton joins Capell & Howard as a student in The University of Alabama School of Law, ranked the 26th best law school in the country by U.S. News & World Report. At Alabama, Britton is on the Kenneth Fuller and Byron Boyett Endowed Scholarship and, after one year in law school, maintains an above 3.0 GPA.
Prior to entering law school, Britton graduated magna cum laude from The University of Alabama with a bachelor’s in communication studies and political science. As an undergraduate, Britton was provided a presidential scholarship and an alumni association scholarship and served as a member of multiple honor societies — Jasons Mens Honor Society, Order of Omega, Mortar Board and Omicron Delta Kappa. In addition, Britton served as Speaker of the Senate for the Student Government Association and President of the Alpha Beta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order.
Britton will clerk with the firm through June 23.
