$7.8 million damages award

Capell & Howard represented eight persons in an action filed by them in United States District Court against John David Stroud and several companies affiliated with him alleging, among other things, violations of federal and state securities laws and breaches of fiduciary duties. The Court entered default judgments against those defendants on all counts and awarded the plaintiffs damages, including interest, punitive damages, and attorneys’ fees, totaling in excess of $7.8 million.
