Rick Hill is a shareholder in the firm’s litigation section. His practice focuses on civil rights defense law and administrative law. Mr. Hill’s civil rights defense law practice focuses on defending Alabama counties and their officials, sheriff’s offices and their employees, and state agencies and officials in litigation. Mr. Hill’s administrative law practice focuses primarily on representing large industrial consumers, telecommunications and electric companies before the Alabama Public Service Commission.
Rick was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1999 after completing his studies at the University of Alabama School of Law. Rick attended college at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
After law school, Rick worked as a staff attorney for Judge William C. Thompson on the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals.
He has tried numerous cases to verdict in both state and federal court and has numerous published opinions. Rick is married, has two children and is a member of First United Methodist Church, Montgomery.
