Bob Meadows was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1974, after receiving an A.B. in Economics from Davidson College in 1971, and a J.D. from the University of Alabama in 1974. After law school, Bob clerked for Judge R. E. Varner, Middle District of Alabama, in Montgomery, Alabama. Bob is a native of Opelika and serves as the senior member of Capell & Howard’s Opelika/Auburn office.
Bob is engaged in a general practice with an emphasis on trial work.
In the past, Bob has served as the President of the Lee County Bar Association and the Alabama State Bar Young Lawyers’ Section. He remains active as a member of The Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, and the Alabama Association of School Board Attorneys. He formerly served for 9 years as the Bar Commissioner for the 37th Judicial Circuit. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the Commercial Litigation category since 2007.
