As a civil litigator, Allen Sheehan primarily handles civil cases and civil appeals involving insurance defense, corporate law and construction law. Additionally, Allen practices in the area of family law, handling cases involving matters of divorce, child custody, child support and domestic crime.
Allen also represents individuals in district court and municipal court who are making one-time court appearances or who have been charged with minor criminal offenses, such as speeding and other traffic violations, drug possession, minor in possession (MIP) and driving under the influence (DUI).
Allen’s clients include insurance companies, corporations, construction companies, small businesses, families and individuals.
Allen is a native of Montgomery and is active in the professional community. He is also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery, serves as Easter Seals of Alabama’s attorney and is involved with the Boy Scouts of America. Additionally, he is a member of the Church of the Ascension. In law school, Allen served on the Cumberland Law Review, was a member of the Trial Board and was the winner of the Haley Trial Competition.

What type of matters do you work on most often?
I have worked in nearly every aspect of law from real estate closings, will drafting, corporation formation, small claims court, collections, family law, and minor criminal matters to complex litigation in State and Federal Court and Appellate practice.
What previous experiences influence your practice?
My experiences in team settings have helped me relate to people and work with both clients and opposing counsel to achieve our common goals whenever possible. Similarly, my experiences in a wide variety of litigation settings allow me to focus on the real issues and present a clear and concise version of my clients’ positions.
