Capell & Howard attorneys successfully defend long-fought Title VII retaliation case

December 11, 2017

Capell & Howard attorneys Trisha Osuch and Barbara Wells successfully defended a long-fought Title VII retaliation case in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. The case started in 2011 when five employees brought multiple claims of workplace discrimination and retaliation. Trisha and Barbara initially obtained summary judgment on all claims against all plaintiffs, and then defended that judgment before the United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.  The appellate court sent one retaliation case back for trial, and Trisha and Barbara tried that claim to a defense verdict in a four-day trial during the last week in November.
