Formed only 3 years ago, the Construction Law Section has quickly grown to now boast 149 members, and it conducts an annual Construction Law Summit, which attracted a record 100 attendees in 2016.
Elected to the position by fellow attorneys from across the state, Lister, as president, will oversee and promote the section’s affairs, including presiding at the section’s meetings and developing the section’s programs.
Aside from his ASB involvement, Lister serves as legal counsel for the Alabama Associated General Contractors (AGC), a role in which he drafted and facilitated passage of comprehensive reform legislation for Alabama’s competitive bid law. Lister also counsels the Alabama chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies on industry policies, legislation and regulation.
