On Sept. 12, the Montgomery County Circuit Court granted a motion for summary judgment – filed by Capell & Howard attorney and shareholder W. Allen Sheehan – to effectively dismiss all counts against the defendants, Allen’s clients, in a life insurance proceeds suit.
In filing the suit, the plaintiffs brought against the defendants claims for fraud, fraudulent suppression, conversion, breach of fiduciary duty, and unjust enrichment, and the plaintiffs sought more than $200,000 in damages related to unpaid life insurance proceeds.
